Once you have done all 4 sides, glue on the corner accent. I did this to hide the fact that the corners are not aesthetically pleasing due to them not being perfectly intertwined.

Start at one end and glue as you go. Do about 4 inch sections at a time. I used a box cutter to cut the end once I reached the opposite side.
