The Rancher is made of Mexican Palm straw.
The straw is light in color and lighter than previous Rancher collections.
Straw may darken over time or after exposure to water
The Rancher comes with a nylon cord with adjustable tightening chin clasp.

Monogram is hand-branded with branding irons
Only 3 letters/icons included
Letter(s) will be done in 3/4” size only at this time
Letters will be branded on left side of hat above strap loop

Branded areas are reinforced inside the hat and on the monogram itself to prevent straw separation

Vegan Leather Chin Strap & Genuine leather chin strap options with gold bead clasp AND stone bead clasp included. Gold bead size will be assigned for whatever is a best fit per hat. Straps are approx 33" in length.
Leather cords come in 2 Styles: Genuine Leather Boot Straps (2 colors) and Vegan Studded Suede
Vegan leather chin strap comes in choice of colors: Navy, Gold, Ivory, Camel

Bead Colors- new colors have been added for the Fall. MV will fulfill bead requests as best possible. If your preferred bead is unavailable, the best matching color will be added to your strap
*Please note the stone bead clasps do NOT fit boot leather straps- boot leather will come with with GOLD bead clasp attached
The PU leather chin strap can withstand water, and WILL age etc over time. Leather straps are also capable of withstanding water and other elements. Grommets will rust over time if exposed often to water or salt water.
If you encounter any issues with your straps, please reach out to info@mariellavilar.com with your order number and photos/explanation of issue and we will find a resolution.

The Rancher is suitable for all activities, however, over exposure to water can wilt the straw.
Over time grommets will rust if exposed to water or salt water elements.
Lay hat on a flat surface (this can be a wall or shelf) with the brim folded UP to prolong hat shape.
If these things concern you, please do not order.

AS is plain no monogram items will ship within 5 business days
PLEASE note- this is not like my painted hats that are precisely painted. This is done with branding irons and there WILL be imperfections. No 2 hats with the same monogram will be the same. Please read additional info below
The straw weave on this hat will vary from hat to hat. No hat is the same and there can be different colored layers of straw. Please do NOT order if this is a concern.
In Stock Branded hats will typically ship within 4 Weeks but you MUST allow for the amount of time stated in product listing.
AS orders come in, the ESD (estimated ship date) will be pushed back. The ESD is the most accurate date your hat will ship to you. Shipping transit time is 1-5 days from the Dallas area.
If for some reason, the stated lead time becomes longer due to volume, illnesses, or acts of God, you will be notified and offered a refund.
Please know that I do not take lightly selling things that can cost around $100 today or any day. I can wholeheartedly say my items are meant to last and you will get that cost per wear down. My personal hats are years old. You’ll wear it more than you think, there are brands selling exact items for 3x my prices, you’ll likely think you’ve destroyed it but will bounce back, and if it needs some minor TLC, fabric glue and hot glue do the trick!
